Gerardo Luis Baez, Sr.

Gerardo Luis Baez, Sr., 52, of Harford Mills, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 2, 2020.

Born in Aibonito, Puerto Rico, on September 28, 1967, Gerardo was the son of Ramon Baez and Rosa Mateo.  He enjoyed graffiti and music and had worked as a disc jockey at many functions.  A loving husband and father, he will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Robin Baez; and their sons, L.J., Chris, and Justin, all at home.  He also leaves behind his mother, Rosa Mateo and stepfather, Joe Vasquez; his brothers, Jose (Sally) Baez of NYC and Christopher Vasquez of California; his sisters, Miriam (Michael) Schaeffer and Wanda (Mario) Dibartolomeo, all of NYC; his mother-in-law, Faith Knickerson of Pennsylvania; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his father, Ramon Baez, and a sister, Gladys Baez.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Expressions of sympathy in memory of Gerardo may be directed to any organization to benefit the fight against addiction.
