James W. Strickland

James “Buck” W. Strickland, 83, of Dryden, NY, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at the Groton Community Health Care Center, while surrounded by his children.

Jim was born in Ithaca, NY, on August 27, 1940, the son of the late James Strickland and Gladys Howser Bennett.  He loved his trap shoot family and was a member of several clubs.  If there was a shoot off, he was there.  Bill Sutliff was his best buddy and right-hand man.

He is survived by his children, Carol (Rick) Middleton, Bill (Denise) Strickland, Danny Strickland, and Brenda (Bobby) Paul.  He also leaves behind several grandkids and great-grandkids; and a sister, Connie Strickland.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Richard Strickland.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no services.
