Judith L. Fiene

Judith L. Fiene, 72, of Cincinnatus, NY, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2020, at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City, NY.

Judith was born in Endicott, NY, on July 23, 1947, the daughter of Anthony Fiene and Eleanor Myott Fiene.  She enjoyed playing Texas Hold-Em, bingo, and all-around gambling.  A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she enjoyed cooking and baking.

In addition to her father, Anthony Fiene, she is survived by her husband, Donald Griest, Sr.; and her children, Darrel Fiene of Cincinnatus, Denise (William) Strickland of Marathon, Donald (Peggy) Griest, Jr. of Cortland, and Doug Griest of Lancaster, SC.  She also leaves behind her brothers, Dean (Cheryl) Sickles of Cortland, and Jeffrey Hoyt of CA; her sisters, Patty Bush of NC, Dawn Sickles of Syracuse, and Aimee Sickles of CA; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Donna Griest; her mother, Eleanor Fiene; her stepfather, John Haines; and siblings, Dana Fiene, Al Sickles, Darrel Sickles, and Susan Sickles.

Funeral services will be held at the Marathon Memorial Chapel, Marathon, NY, on Friday, March 13, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Will Gallerani officiating.  Burial will be in Willet Cemetery.  The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 noon until the start of the service at 1:00 p.m.
