Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Cabral

Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Cabral, 82, formerly of Marathon, NY, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2020, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Syracuse, NY.

Betty was born in Tarrytown, NY, on March 14, 1938, the daughter of the late Joseph and Lillian (Arsenault) Cabral.  Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a department sales manager at Alexander’s Department Store, White Plains, NY.

She is survived by her sister, Joanne (Joseph) Vega of Marathon; her nieces, Mary (Martin) Henninger of Marathon, Anne (Ido) Sela of Scarsdale, and Hope (Peter Carvelas) Vega of Binghamton; and a nephew, Henry (Tina) Vega of Endicott.  She also leaves behind several great nieces and great nephews.

In keeping with the wishes of the family, visitation and funeral services will be private.  Burial will be in Marathon Cemetery.  Expressions of sympathy in memory of Betty may be directed to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 15829, Arlington, VA  22215.
