Morris "Moe" A. Lincoln

Morris “Moe” A. Lincoln, 79, of Marathon, NY, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2019, at Cortland Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Cortland, NY.

Moe was born in Cortland, NY, on April 17, 1940, the son of the late Edwin Calvin and Adelia Sergent Lincoln.  A longtime resident of this area, he retired from Grumman Boats after 34 years of dedicated service.  Moe was collector of sports memorabilia and an avid baseball fan who enjoyed playing golf, bowling, and, as a young man, horse racing.  For 18 years he coached both Little League and Babe Ruth baseball.  Most of all, he enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports and rarely missed an event.

He is survived by his children, Ed Lincoln of Marathon, Deanna (Mike) Edwards of Cortland, and Mickey (Johanna) Lincoln of Myrtle Beach, SC.  He also leaves behind his six grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Clark Lincoln, and sisters, Leah Dam and Doris Randall.

Funeral services will be held at the Marathon Memorial Chapel, 4071 State Route 221, Marathon, NY, on Thursday, September 5, 2019, at 1:00 p.m.  Burial will be in Taylor Rural Cemetery.  The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the start of the service at 1:00 p.m.  Expressions of sympathy in memory of Moe may be directed to the Marathon Fire Department, 2 Peck Street, Marathon, NY 13803.
