Noel W. Wiley

Noel W. “Bo” Wiley, 89, of Marathon, NY, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2020, at Guthrie Cortland Regional Medical Center, after a brief illness.

Bo was born in Akron, OH, on October 20, 1930, the son of the late Dewey and Orpha Faidley Wiley.  Bo’s working years included masonry, backhoe and dump truck construction and also included 14 years at Marathon Central School, retiring in 1995.  His passions were old cars and playing cards with his buddies.  Bo served his country as a very proud Marine from 1950-1952.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gloria; a son, Patrick of Maine, NY, and a grandson, Chase of Sykesville, MD.  He also leaves behind a brother, James of Hendersonville, NC; and sisters, JoAnne McLohon and Carol Lundy of Longwood, FL, and Donna Wiernicki of Trumansburg.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Emerson (Jack), Richard, and Roger; and  a sister, Ethel (Skeez) Overton.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no services.
